Santa Fe Smoky Pigs in a Blanket

Ingredients:

Smoky Pigs in a Blanket

2 sheets puff pastry 

1 bag Smokey mini hot dogs

4T Santa Fe Spice

1 egg

1T milk

Flour and salt as needed

Avocado Dip

2 ripe avocados, mashed

2 t Lime juice

1T Sour cream

*Mix all ingredients with salt and pepper to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Thaw puff pastry. Mix the egg and milk together.
  3. Dust the counter surface with flour and roll out the puff pastry. To about ⅛” thickness.
  4. Cut the pastry into 3.5” squares.
  5. Brush the pastry with egg and milk mixture. 
  6. Generously sprinkle Santa Fe Spice and salt over the mixture.
  7. Place the hot dogs diagonally across the pastry and roll up.
  8. Brush the tops with egg and milk mixture again and sprinkle with spices.
  9. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Serve with Avocado Dip.
